Morocco, part 1

November 1st, 2017

I have not posted in quite a while---we've had a very eventful couple of weeks.  Kate's first school term ended on Friday, October 20th, when she began a two-week break.  Caroline flew over from New York on the 21st, and we had a day and a half to show her around Paris.  We went to a favorite French Israeli restaurant in the Marais, Tavline, for dinner on Saturday.  We walked back home past the Hotel de Ville.  Here's Kate in front.

We caught Daniel Roth playing the organ at St. Sulpice on Sunday morning and then went to Le Recamier for souffles afterwards.   Then we all boarded a plane for Morocco on Sunday night and spent the week on a whirlwind tour, starting in Marrakech, driving out to the Sahara for camel rides and camping out, and ending our trip in Fes.  We took a lot of pictures, which I have not uploaded yet, and I have a lot to say about Morocco, so I will talk about various aspects of the trip each in several posts over the next couple of weeks, probably.  For now, I'll just include this picture of us in a riad of a palace in Marrakech:
